I had two goals to meet this weekend.
- 8350 words for my daily 1670 total per day to add up to.
- Push ahead of that goal so that the two days next week that are going to be rough on me won’t cause me to fall behind if I can’t get my daily writing time in.
To really put myself into the position of having a high enough word count where two days of not writing wouldn’t decrease my goal totals, I would need to be at 11,690 by midnight tonight.
I’m 131 words short. That’s like a paragraph. So, I’m going to call that a win.
I’m tired. I’ve written almost 5,000 words today. I haven’t eaten since breakfast — unless you count tiny chocolate candies we bought on sale after Halloween — but I’m not counting that.
So now, it’s about 10:30 and I think I’m going to zone out on YouTube until I fall asleep.
If I don’t fall asleep, I’ll probably come back and knock out the other 131 words.
Also, I’m not sure why Scrivener calculates my word count differently than Nano does. According to their calculations, my word count is 11,637.
Oh well, by this count, I’m even more ahead than I thought I was. So, I’ll accept that.
